The Naught Saturn is one of our most theatrical cocktails. A juicy collision of gin, passionfruit and lemon that's dangerously easy to drink. Built around our Naught Australian Dry Gin, the recipe is also available as a ready-to-pour bottled cocktail if you'd rather skip the shaker.
INGREDIENTS:
- 50ml Australian Dry Gin
- 25ml Lemon Juice
- 15ml Passionfruit Syrup
- 10ml Orgeat
- 10ml Naught Falernum
GARNISH:
- Passionfruit Smoke Bubble (or a simple passionfruit half if you don't have a smoke gun)
INSTRUCTIONS:
Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice. Shake hard for 15 seconds. Double-strain into your preferred glass.
To finish, garnish with a passionfruit smoke bubble for theatre, or a simple half-passionfruit on the rim if you don't have a smoke gun on hand.
Prefer it pre-made?
We bottle the Naught Saturn as a ready-to-pour 700ml cocktail. Same recipe, same balance, batched and bottled at our Eltham distillery. Just pour, garnish, and serve. Perfect for parties, gifts, or any time you want a cocktail without the mixology.

Frequently asked questions
What is a Naught Saturn?
The Naught Saturn is a tropical, tiki-style gin cocktail combining gin, lemon, passionfruit, orgeat (almond syrup) and falernum (a spiced sugar syrup with lime). It's one of the few classic tiki drinks built on gin rather than rum, which gives it a brighter, more herbaceous character.
Can I buy a pre-made Naught Saturn?
Yes. We bottle the Naught Saturn as a ready-to-pour 700ml cocktail, batched at our Eltham distillery. Just pour, garnish, and serve. Available direct from naughtgin.com.au and at our cellar door.
What is falernum?
Falernum is a Caribbean spiced sugar syrup flavoured with lime, clove, ginger and almond. It's a tiki bar essential. Our Naught Falernum is made in-house and available at the bar, or you can substitute John D. Taylor's Velvet Falernum.
Do I need a smoke bubble gun to make it?
No. The smoke bubble is theatre. It makes the drink memorable for guests but doesn't change the flavour. A simple half-passionfruit or a passionfruit pulp float works perfectly well.
